The Behaviour Bookshelf
Welcome to the behaviour bookshelf, fellow teachers! Here you will find a cracking collection of books which have enriched my own understanding of behaviour and all things teaching and learning, I trust that just like I have, you are going to get great value from the following.
Be sure to keep popping back, I'll be adding to these regularly, as well as doing a monthly spotlight!
Ps. As an Amazon Affiliate I make a commission on the following links. This helps me to continue to support you, without costing you a thing!
Book spotlight for February
This is the first month of the behaviour bookshelf, so I'd be silly not to choose the book that I have in my hands in this picture.
The Whole Brain Child by Dr Dan Siegel and Dr Tina Bryson was absolutely foundational in my understanding of the brain and behaviour. I reference in almost every single training session, and use the concepts in my own classroom when teaching my students about their own behaviours (something that is just transformative)!
The Whole-Brain Child: 12 Proven Strategies to Nurture Your Child's Developing Mind

HI THERE, I'M CLAIRE —
I help teachers walk into their classrooms confident in their ability to calmly manage whatever challenging behaviours come their way.
My work is deeply rooted in my mission of providing teachers with the quality support, training and mentorship that is so desperately needed to holistically and effectively classroom manage, whilst creating real and authentic change with the young people they support.
I started The Unteachables Academy because I myself had to sink (drown, if I am being honest) in the profession before learning how to swim. Now, I am passionate about providing teachers like yourself with the support you deserved from the outset.
